FAQ

How kid-friendly is it?

Heroscape has been played and loved by kids for over two decades. For players 5-8, consider trying the Basic Game. The Basic Game is played using the Basic Side of Heroscape cards. It's a simplified, quick-and-easy version of the game that is perfect for teaching the game or getting your feet before moving on to the Master Game. Older kids are generally ready for the Master Game!

How long does a game take?

You can change how long a Heroscape game is based on what Army Size you choose and the size of your battlefield. The average Heroscape game takes 45-60 minutes.

How many players can play?

Any number of Heroscape players can play. Competitive Heroscape games are typically 2 players, and multiplayer games tend to be best at 3-5 players.

How do I use the Order Markers?

At the start of each round, you and your opponent(s) place your Order Markers - 1, 2, 3, and the decoy maker X, onto your Army Cards, and then you roll Iniatitive. Whoever rolls highest goes first, revealing their Order Marker 1 and moving and attacking with the figures on that Army Card. Then the next player continues, in clockwise order, until all players have played their Order Marker 1 - and then it continues with Order Marker 2. When all Order Markers have been revealed and all turns taken, then it's time to begin a new round!
