TAELORD THE KYRIE WARRIOR
When Taelord first drew a blade, it was in the Ritual of Strength. A Boretooth Ratosk was let loose to face him in the coliseum of his ancestors, deep in the Kyrien Peaks, and when he plunged his blade into its side, he became a Kyrie warrior.
He drew his blade again when his daughter was born, and drew it across both of their palms so that their bond would be forged in blood. She did not scream, even then. Loviatäk was always strong.
He drew his blade when eighty-three Kyrie stood in the coliseum, hoping to become the right hand of the Valkyrie Utgar. When Taelord sheathed his blade two days later, only he remained standing.
He drew his blade when he led a legion of Utgar’s orcs to storm the village of Stechevan and slaughter the crimson-winged Kyrie who lived there. He cut down the Kyrie warrior Jalgard that day, although he barely remembers it. Just one more face, one more dying scream, one more vengeful child left behind.
He drew his blade the day the Marro witch Kee-Mo-Shi finally crawled out of his skull and back into a body of her own, and with it he shattered the amulet she had placed around his neck.
He drew his blade to meet Loviatäk’s axe when she led Utgar’s enemies against him and betrayed all Taelord had ever fought for. Although he would have preferred a warrior’s death that day, instead he was asked to become an advisor in her New Alliance.
Today, he draws his flaming blade, and the crowd roars. A blood-red dawn rises on Mitonsoul’s Arena, and warriors from Jandar’s and Utgar’s ranks have gathered to prove who is strong enough to survive in this new age. Some that draw their blades today draw them for the first time. And just like the Ritual of Strength taught him, he will teach them how to be strong.
Taelord the Kyrie Warrior will be available at select Gencon 2026 events and as an organized play promotional figure for Summer 2026. He will later be available on the Renegade Web Store.
