Ready for the next step beyond your local game store's tournaments? There are three tiers of Premier Heroscape events that culminate in an all-out Heroscape World Championship at Gencon every year.
STORE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Store Championships can be run at your local game store every year. The 2026 Store Championship Season ran from April 2026 to June 2026! Winners from each of these events have a Day 2 Bye for the World Championships at Gencon, allowing them to skip the Day 1 qualifying round. Applications for Spring 2027 Store Championships will open in Winter 2026!

VALKYRIE TRIALS
Valkyrie Trials are Regional Heroscape championships run at large local game stores or conventions. Winners from each of these events have a Day 2 Bye for the World Championships at Gencon, allowing them to skip the Day 1 qualifying round. The current season of Valkyrie Trials runs from July 2026 to June 2027!

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Every year, hundreds of players gather to participate in the Heroscape World Championships at Gencon. The winner receives a free ticket to the next year's Gencon, the title of World Champion and a future Heroscape figure designed and named after them. Heroscape's events at Gencon 2026 will be posted on Gencon's website soon, so keep an eye out for early signups!
Over 100 players will come together from all over to battle it out in this premier-level event!

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AT GENCON
World Championships at Gencon are a multi-day event, with qualifying players from heats in Day 1 moving into Day 2 and Day 3.
All World Championship participants receive exclusive prizing such as dice and metallic-based figures. The winner of each World Championship receives a free ticket to the following Gencon, as well as having a future Heroscape figure named after them.

Who can host a Valkyrie Trial?
If you have a local game store or fan convention with attendance of roughly thirty players, you're a great candidate for a Valkyrie Trial.
Are Premier events always Contemporary?
Yes, all Store Championships, Valkyrie Trials and World Championships are Contemporary events. This means you can only use Heroscape figures produced by Renegade Game Studios.
